day eighty five

We are replanting our grass!!!!! I can't even tell you how happy it makes me to look out the window and not see random holes that are 5 feet deep. The thought of a real live backyard with real live grass is beyond my imagination.

day thirty seven

Jade loves the boy Jack. Jack even has on the motorcycle pajamas that Jade bought Pace, that then Bailey, Taylor, Jacki and now Jack is wearing. I'd say those pajamas have served us well.

Bailey went outside and got some amazin action shots for her photography class. I love that she takes such fabulous pictures. They are always a welcome addition to my picture-a-day journal! Thanks Boo!

Today was so beautiful that we had to play outside all day. It was 72 degrees and sunny so we rode the motorcycles up and down the street for a while and then headed to the park.

Oh how I love those golden lions that shame, I mean guard, Tawny Buck Ct.

After we played outside all day Jade, Michael, Sundi and I headed out to dinner. What a lovely day it turned out to be!

We went to the dry lake beds today. I LOVE this picture of Pace. I would like to give myself credit for its coolness, however, I didn't take it... Bailey did.

Here is the leader of the dry lake beds.

See those oh so cool goggles Pace has on? They are the Christmas miracle goggles!

No need to ride your 450 Jade. Just keep spending all your time on the 50. I swear he rides this motorcycle more than his own! It's his most favorite motorcycle.

And here are two more grown up kids riding a teeny tiny 4-wheeler. What is the obsession with the small bikes??

Jacki got some serious riding time in on the Yamaha today

See that silt that is ALL over the bike and ALL over Pace? Although this picture looks pretty cool to the naked eye... when I look at it I see loads and loads of wash.

Jessi loves to go with us to the dry lake beds. She has so much fun she sleeps for a solid week after.

Congratulations weed!! You are graduating number one in the Thomson's backyard display of weeds. You have successfully grown taller and better than any weed we've ever had. You are an over achiever and make all the other weeds look like unmotivated losers.

We got a special treat from space tonight. Tonight was a total eclipse of the moon and it happened to land on a night with the closest supermoon of 2015. Isn't it beautiful? My children have seen the "supermoon" many a time but just not from in space. I think they were pretty relieved that when I showed them the supermoon this time it was actually in the sky.

John photo bombed and these two Austin Mahone representatives didn't even have a clue!

I can't even write a caption here because I have absolutely no clue what they all are doing.

Bubbles with Cole

Here's Jack ziplining... I'm pretty proud of my cool angle.

Taylor getting warm by the fire.

Hicks took my camera and made me take a picture to prove that I was there since I'm never in any of the pictures.

Here is our cannon a.k.a. potato bomb. I'm pretty sure the neighbors heard this from a 50 square mile radius.

One of these days my dad will let me take his picture without hating my guts. I seriously doubt it though.

We were so cozy!

We went to Kolob Reservoir and guess who I found??? Michael!! He was there with his Girls Camp for boys. It was so much fun seeing him. He took me for a spin while we visited and he bossed people around on his walkie-talkie.

These leaders were so much fun. I had no idea just how crazy they were. Nothing like Girls Camp to bring out the crazy in people!

Me and my Tuts...

I got to go on the zipline today. It was way too much fun! I'm even scared of heights but I had to do it (and upside down) due to the peer pressure I was getting from my YW!

Taylor and her tent-mate Shelby.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BAILEY!! She's 14 now! Bailey and Bryenna both had a birthday today at Girls Camp.

Here they are blowing out their birthday candles on their birthday brownie.

Taylor got to rappel this morning. She didn't even hesitate for a minute. She stepped off that cliff and went right on down like she'd done it a million times. Very impressive!

Here she is right before she went down. I kept yelling at her from the other side trying my best to annoy her. Judging from her face I'd say that I was successful.

These 4 lunatics braided all their hair together!! They then proceeded to walk around camp (all combined). It was hysterical! Who comes up with these ideas??

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JADE!!!!! I'm traumatized that I'm in Cedar and my birthday husband is in Vegas. Jade's and Bailey's birthdays both end up this year during Girls Camp. We'll have to celebrate later. We all got together and went and got a snow cone in Jade's honor. This is the Happy Birthday picture!

Here is Bailey and Jacki trying to kill the hornet's nest they found in my mom's bird house. It was quite the task. Many a hornet died on Jade's birthday today.

WE LOVE YOU JADE!!!!!

John and Sarah sent me flowers!!!!! I seriously couldn't have been more surprised if John himself had been standing on my doorstep when I opened the door. It made my WHOLE day.

Jacki decided she wanted to play in the backyard in the water. Apparently she didn't want to get her hair wet.

day ninety five

Happy Easter!! Today is such a beautiful Easter day. The Easter Bunny came last night, General Conference is today and we get to go to Grandma Thomson's later for dinner. I wish I had have thought to take a picture of the T.V. Conference was sooooo good today. I feel revived and motivated...what a fabulous day!

The kids got Kendamas in their Easter baskets. They played with these for hours today.

Pace has developed mad skills in the 2 hours since he got his Kendama!

Here is Pace's obligatory "take a picture with your basket" photo.

The girls do much better with this obligatory photo!

General Conference is over and now we get to go to Grandma's house for our annual Easter egg hunt and dinner. This is something we look forward to every year. Grandma Thomson has a huge backyard and it makes the egg hunt even that much better... they absolutely LOVE it!

Someone somewhere throwing an egg at Pace.

Bailey taking a break from egg hunting to do her special dork face.

Cutest picture ever of Grandma, Bailey, and Savannah.

Taylor and Grandpa. This face on Grandpa is totally typical!

Grandma, Pace and Broc. I'm loving Grandma's crazy pony tail hair blowing in the wind!

Here is the annual "sit on the trampoline and evaluate our Easter candy" picture. This is where Pace goes to trade all his chocolate away for non-chocolate items.

There is no end to the fun to be had in the back of Jade's childhood home. Seriously awesome!

Nice kick Pace!

Jacki and Outlaw.

Here is the beginning of Jacki's plan to get in the tree...

Now Jacki and Brooklyn have elicited some help.

They made it!

Jade took the ladder away so now they are trapped in the tree!

Bailey and Outlaw.

Dumb finally brought Emma over. Oh my goodness she is adorable! I loved this pic of everyone gathered around ooohing and aahhing over her.

These two sit on their chairs and boss us all around.

More egg hunting...
