day one hundred forty eight

We're in Cedar this weekend for WORCS race #8. It's Pace's very first race!!! It is just practice day today. They are getting a feel for the track and getting the bikes tuned up. Pace is wiping away a tear of joy here because he is so happy that he cut his hair and his helmet now fits!

Someone is always happy to be racing! You'll notice it is the only time he actually smiles for the camera without a threat from me.

Team Mom

Here is Pace's day plater complete with mud splatters and all.

The day wouldn't be complete without Bailey taking my camera and her and Jacki hiking out to take hundreds of pictures of themselves.

Bailey learned in her photography class how to adjust the aperture and other such settings that I have no clue about. Check out the cool lighting though!

Featuring Jack-a-Lack

I LOVE this picture of the sky and clouds!!! LOVE.

I dig this Tumblr picture as well...

Here's Pace, Jordan and Jeff contemplating motorcycle life issues

AND Taylor who is so excited she can't even stay awake!

We're back to Grandma and Grandpa's house to evaluate the tear offs for the 875 pairs of goggles that they own between the two of them. Swapping out lens' and other goggle related science is happening in this picture. Trust me when I say that it IS a science.

day seventy eight

Today is bring your own cup day at 7-11. Basically what this means is that you bring in whatever cup you want and you can fill it up with a slurpee for $1.50. Pace proceeded to take in my gallon sized picture. They will be drinking slurpees for days!

Cavities are forming with each slurp!

Update to the Nationals trip... now they are in Disneyland! Tough few days for Bailey. She might be in Disneyland but we got to drink a GALLON of slurpee!

Taking a picture of the picture. I'm so proud my children aren't dumb enough to pay thousands of dollars at Disneyland for a picture!

Back to the Thomson casa...Tonight dinner was served on the Hog. Cheese toastwiches for the win.

No complaints here....

 Or here

These two were putting on Pace's sticker kit that he got for Christmas this year.

It. Looks. So. Cool.

day fifty eight

WORCS race #3!! The race was in town at the South Point which makes it pretty convenient since we live 1 mile away. The track, however, was really small and tight. Jerry broke 7 ribs on this course right before Jade raced. Needless to say I was a little worried.

Here is Jade's 40-C line. Right after the start, of course, is a tight turn. It is like a cluster at the very beginning. See Jade? He's 2nd over from the right. I did notice that he was the very cutest rider there.

There he is right before the starting gun goes off. That rider right next to him (in the blue) seems to be giving me a dirty look. I can't see through his goggles but I'm feeling it. Perhaps he was admiring how cute my hair was. Ya, that is probably it.

Here is the sand pit section. This is the most difficult part. People everywhere were wrecking in here.

K.Sue was in town with Cyle to escape the Park City freeze for a week. She stopped by to see Jade race. We were such good cheerleaders!

Here is the whole cheer section! Bailey was in Reno cheering for state basketball. It seems like we are always one person short as these races.

I thought this was funny. Since South Point hosts any and all horse related events they have really nice stalls on their grounds. They rented them out for the motorcycles to be in during the race. I don't know why but I found it amusing to walk down and look in the stalls to see motorcycles. At least you don't have to give them any hay.

Look who we ran into! I took like a hundred pictures of these two trying to get one of Max with his eyes open. This is as close as I got!

Outside the photo booth is where I found these two ding dongs

Here is a whole gaggle of Thomsons. Pace, Jeff, Jade, Jordan and Jason. They are a bunch of cup checking freaks of nature. You can just tell by the looks on their faces.

day thirty seven

Jade loves the boy Jack. Jack even has on the motorcycle pajamas that Jade bought Pace, that then Bailey, Taylor, Jacki and now Jack is wearing. I'd say those pajamas have served us well.

Bailey went outside and got some amazin action shots for her photography class. I love that she takes such fabulous pictures. They are always a welcome addition to my picture-a-day journal! Thanks Boo!

Today was so beautiful that we had to play outside all day. It was 72 degrees and sunny so we rode the motorcycles up and down the street for a while and then headed to the park.

Oh how I love those golden lions that shame, I mean guard, Tawny Buck Ct.

After we played outside all day Jade, Michael, Sundi and I headed out to dinner. What a lovely day it turned out to be!

day thirty

The WORCS race was out at Primm today!! So of course we loaded up and went out to cheer on our Paps! Here he is coming off a turn, we made so much noise we actually got him to look at us. Score!

Perhaps he looked at us because of this amazing sign that Jacki made. All the other riders were jealous that they didn't have one. She got stopped multiple times because people were commenting on its fabulousness.

See the rider in the lead? Yup that is Jade. He's cool (and fast).

Here is is right after he finished. Dusty and tired. Still cute though! He did SO good, he placed 8th!! We were so proud of him.

Here he is with part of his fan club. Taylor is still in Disneyland today but she was texting and asking about how he did while cheering him on from California.

Pace took this opportunity to start up the 100 and cruise for some motorcycle honies at the track.

Here is an update picture I received from Taylor... Looks like she's having a terrible time!

We hurried home and I drug the girls out to help me deliver the wedding cake.

Here is the plate I delivered the cake on. It had a ton of icing on it but not to worry, I won't even have to wash it when I get home. Bailey licked it clean!
