day ninety two

Today was crazy hair day at school. Thomsons have dominated this event all the way through Bailey, Taylor and Jacki's elementary days. This is our very last one since Jack will be in middle school next year! Here is what we came up with...

Toni was out of town so Coco asked me to do her hair too. We decided to make them the beverage cousins. Then much to Toni's dismay I let them have some coke and rootbeer for breakfast. I mean it only makes sense!

Tonight was the cheer banquet because somehow while I blinked 10 months have passed! I can't believe the season is over, and by season I mean an entire year. Bailey received the award for most energy. Coach Thomas said, "Sometimes she even has too much energy". What?! Who knew?

One more team pic. I was so dumb and left my camera home so these are all blurry and with my phone. Why can't I have a brain?

day seventy nine

Another busy Saturday is here. Bright and early for Jacki's soccer game. Jacki scored a goal!!! It was the first goal of the team for the season! SOOOOOO proud of her!

This move is called the Michael Jackson.

Jack and her teammate Angelina. Good game today girls!

LHS Cheer competed at the Nationals today. They placed 11th in the nation! Not too shabby! They needed to place in the top 10 to make it to the finals but they got beat by ONE measly point. Once again, Bailey is taking pictures of pictures. The cheer people are at least smart enough to block out the picture but that can't stop Bailey!

Here is the whole team at dinner tonight in California. They were sad about how close they came but proud they did so well. The season is officially over. I cannot seriously believe it.

Eddie Barrillas got married tonight. We went to the reception and took a quick family pic with only half the family!

day seventy eight

Today is bring your own cup day at 7-11. Basically what this means is that you bring in whatever cup you want and you can fill it up with a slurpee for $1.50. Pace proceeded to take in my gallon sized picture. They will be drinking slurpees for days!

Cavities are forming with each slurp!

Update to the Nationals trip... now they are in Disneyland! Tough few days for Bailey. She might be in Disneyland but we got to drink a GALLON of slurpee!

Taking a picture of the picture. I'm so proud my children aren't dumb enough to pay thousands of dollars at Disneyland for a picture!

Back to the Thomson casa...Tonight dinner was served on the Hog. Cheese toastwiches for the win.

No complaints here....

 Or here

These two were putting on Pace's sticker kit that he got for Christmas this year.

It. Looks. So. Cool.

day seventy seven

Happy St. Patricks Day! Unfortunately some leprechauns visited our house last night and made a bit of a mess.

The kids woke up with leprechaun kisses on their noses.

Leprechaun pee is a must on St. Patricks Day

Meanwhile, Bailey loaded up on a bus today to head to California for Nationals (cheerleading competition). They ended up on the beach. Poor Bailey, on the beach while everyone else is at school!

I love this picture she sent me!!

day forty four

Cheerleading competition day! Here we are at UNLV watching LHS compete.

I captured a picture of Bailey doing her deep breathing right before they went on. She was so nervous!

I can honestly say that this is the best I've ever seen them perform. They nailed it!

Here they all are! It is so funny to me how if someone shows up with a camera they all assemble perfectly posed for a picture in less than 2.1 seconds. It's a talent I feel they have. I wish everyone would do this for me when I am trying to take a picture.

Grandma came with us to watch Bailey, and also Savannah (who was competing in the dance division). I made them all pose in front of the rodeo mural to make the picture extra fabulous.

We stayed at Grandma and Grandpa's house for a bit after the competition. I think Jacki is getting too big for Grandpa's lap??

day thirty six

We went to the Liberty basketball game tonight to watch Boo cheer.

Just look at that amazing jump!

Guess who showed up at the game????? COUSINS!!!!!

Pace in his usual state of coherence this time of night...

Jacki roamed around and sold an entire box of chocolates (for her Astrocamp fundraiser) during this game. Cousins came and chocolate was sold. A perfect night!

day twenty two

Guess what this is? PACE DRIVING HIMSELF AND BAILEY TO SCHOOL!!! I realize this only saves me approximately 7 minutes of driving them in the morning but for some reason it is the most wonderful thing in the world! I wanted to go back in and celebrate with a big fat nap on the couch but I was far to excited and couldn't relax properly. Folks, this here is the beginning of a whole new life for me. As traumatized as I am that he is 16 years old, the fact that he can run errands and pick up kids for me takes the sting out of it for sure.

Also, Jacki is performing at the LHS basketball game tonight! She learned a routine at the "Little Patriots" clinic last Saturday. She practiced the dance all week and might I say she has it down perfect!! We are leaving tonight for the YW ski trip and I'm going to miss her performance (I just shed a tear). I have no doubts she'll nail it though!

The angles, the smile, the bow....perfection!

Meanwhile... back in St. George we are having dinner and getting ready for a devotional with the YM/YW. Crazy busy day.

Speaking of the devotional... Pace had an amazing spiritual experience during the devotional, and by spiritual experience I mean R.E.M.

day nine

LHS cheer competition is today!! Here they are right before they went on. They were all so nervous!

This picture is blurry but I loved it nonetheless.

Look at this fabulous group of supporters that came out to cheer for Bailey today. She is one loved girl.

The LHS varsity cheerleaders

They didn't get a bid for nationals today. Bailey was super disappointed. She got a love from her dad though to make her feel better.

Speaking of Paps... He raced round #1 of the WORCS series in Taft, CA today. It was muddy and cold but he did great. His bike even killed at the starting line and he still managed to pass half the people in his division. Well done!

My husband is really so very cool. I can't believe he gave me the time of day.
