day one hundred fifty three

Today is the last day of school and the last day that any of my team will be attending elementary school. Ho. Lee. Cow. I cannot believe I'm done with Bass. I have been schlepping kids to this school for the past 11 years. Myself and a few other "hands on parents", i.e., the only other parents that ever did anything, decided that we were so important that we reserved ourselves spots on the front row. And you know what? No one told us we couldn't. It is because we really are (were) that important.

Here is some of my VIP friends. Tracy, Nameer and I were permanent fixtures at every single field trip, school party, field day and school event for the past 11 years.

Here is the 5th grade graduate herself arriving to the program!

She refused (and I mean REFUSED) to wear a dress or anything "fancy". She put on long pants (jeans) and informed me that, "this is the fanciest I will get". Everyone was actually shocked as this was the first time all year that she didn't wear shorts.

Clapping for her fellow peeps

Here is Jack receiving her 5th grade promotion, AB honor roll and of course the Great American Award!!!

Mrs. Zamora's graduating 5th grade class of 2016

Singing the John C. Bass school song one last time. My kids have sung this song now for years. It is seared into my brain. I had to sing along because John C Bass is a bully free school, protecting others IS THE RULE!

Grandma came for her special day! Of course she also had a reserved seat. It's the perks of being a grandma to a granddaughter whose mother is a VIP. Did you follow that?

I surely do love this picture.... sigh. Just look at those beautiful happy faces that I love.

Me, Jack and Grandma!

Due to our yearly tradition we had to have a LOT of food at the house so everyone could meet over here after school was over. Taylor went to her friends house so we were missing her :(

Jacki and Coco decided to party with some water in our now functioning backyard.

And of course she enjoyed our swimming pool which also doubles as Jessi's water trough.

Off to Coco's pool to finish off the day. After eating the high school kids made their way over to Max's house to swim. It is tooooooo hot here to do much of anything else.
My post of the last day of school is done now and I'm going to go have a good nap and a good cry.

day one hundred forty nine

Race day is here!!! Here is PayPay on his line getting ready to go!

Here are the cutest little motorcycle cheerleaders I've ever laid eyes on

Waiting his turn....

Remember when I mentioned that Jade smiled without any help (bribing) from me when he was racing? Take a look in that helmet.

This is Pace's line... He had strict orders not to go for the hole shot!

Jade on his line getting ready to go... Even though you can't see behind his goggles I'm betting the farm that he's smiling!

Thank goodness Jessi was there to get this picture for me. Shortly after the race started we were apprehended by the fun police who escorted us out and called the real police on us. I guess they didn't appreciate our fence jumping to get in the race. This might be my worst mother fail to date.

And thank goodness for the ability to purchase pictures from the professional picture takers since me and my camera were kicked out!

Pace's very first photo from a WORCS series!

day one hundred forty eight

We're in Cedar this weekend for WORCS race #8. It's Pace's very first race!!! It is just practice day today. They are getting a feel for the track and getting the bikes tuned up. Pace is wiping away a tear of joy here because he is so happy that he cut his hair and his helmet now fits!

Someone is always happy to be racing! You'll notice it is the only time he actually smiles for the camera without a threat from me.

Team Mom

Here is Pace's day plater complete with mud splatters and all.

The day wouldn't be complete without Bailey taking my camera and her and Jacki hiking out to take hundreds of pictures of themselves.

Bailey learned in her photography class how to adjust the aperture and other such settings that I have no clue about. Check out the cool lighting though!

Featuring Jack-a-Lack

I LOVE this picture of the sky and clouds!!! LOVE.

I dig this Tumblr picture as well...

Here's Pace, Jordan and Jeff contemplating motorcycle life issues

AND Taylor who is so excited she can't even stay awake!

We're back to Grandma and Grandpa's house to evaluate the tear offs for the 875 pairs of goggles that they own between the two of them. Swapping out lens' and other goggle related science is happening in this picture. Trust me when I say that it IS a science.

day one hundred forty three

Today I got ready for church and then went downstairs. Lo and behold I find my super cute husband matching me perfectly!!! It's like I called him and coordinated our outfits. We were so cute that I made him go outside for a photo shoot with me.

We were rocking our navy blue and yellow and that is a fact.

Jade is growing tired of our photo shoot at this point but is hanging in there like a champ.

Jade delivers a kiss and a plea to stop. Ok, I've captured our matchy matchy Sunday good enough! Off to church we go!

day one hundred thirty five

We rolled in at midnight from the wedding and we were up and atom first thing this morning! It is Jacki's last soccer game with the Desert Divas. I will miss watching her take people out, I mean play soccer every Saturday. I think sometimes (thanks to her dad's help) Jacki thought she was playing football.

Jacki and her biggest cheerleader

We went to the coach's house right after the game for a swim party and awards ceremony

Jacki got MVP Offensive Player!!!! Coach said some really nice things about her and her soccer skills this year. SO proud of her!

Jack and Coach Phil

Jade had to leave the soccer scene early to go to Lamar Ballard's funeral. Pace took Taylor to her volleyball game. I had to leave the awards party early to get to the graveside dedication. We went to the family dinner at the church, hurried home to attend our neighbor Alee's baby shower and then attended the dance recital. Great balls of fire this day is INSANE. Ok, back to the dance recital... here is Bailey with Rachel and Kaylee after it was over.

One more....

LOOK who we spied with our little eye.... Taylor and Jack's kindergarten teacher!! Ms. Figura was by far their favorite teacher of ALL time. We even became sewing friends after kindergarten. Love her!

Ms. Figura and all my girls

Bailey secretly has a crush on Ms. Figura's son (Jake) so we decided to stage a quick picture of them all and make them stand together. The best part about it is that Jake's girlfriend took the picture! Ackward.
