day one hundred fifty

Just a lovely Sunday laying out on the grass in Enoch. This is the view if I were a tiny grasshopper with a tiny camera taking a picture. I don't get the feeling Lydia likes grasshoppers.

day one hundred forty eight

We're in Cedar this weekend for WORCS race #8. It's Pace's very first race!!! It is just practice day today. They are getting a feel for the track and getting the bikes tuned up. Pace is wiping away a tear of joy here because he is so happy that he cut his hair and his helmet now fits!

Someone is always happy to be racing! You'll notice it is the only time he actually smiles for the camera without a threat from me.

Team Mom

Here is Pace's day plater complete with mud splatters and all.

The day wouldn't be complete without Bailey taking my camera and her and Jacki hiking out to take hundreds of pictures of themselves.

Bailey learned in her photography class how to adjust the aperture and other such settings that I have no clue about. Check out the cool lighting though!

Featuring Jack-a-Lack

I LOVE this picture of the sky and clouds!!! LOVE.

I dig this Tumblr picture as well...

Here's Pace, Jordan and Jeff contemplating motorcycle life issues

AND Taylor who is so excited she can't even stay awake!

We're back to Grandma and Grandpa's house to evaluate the tear offs for the 875 pairs of goggles that they own between the two of them. Swapping out lens' and other goggle related science is happening in this picture. Trust me when I say that it IS a science.

day one hundred thirty six

Oh Jessis!!! What a good puppy you are. Look at the grey hairs on her chinny chin chin.

Here is a random picture I found on the camera. Jacki took this and it is so pretty. I thought it was the perfect Sunday picture.

Goodbye best mountain in all of the world...

We had to take the 4 wheeler off the mountain but my dad had the back of his truck filled with wood so Pace took on the task. He drove it all the way from the cabin to Enoch. Such an occasion calls for a special look. It was cold today!

We got some of the cousins out of school today so we could all go to lunch. This little pizza place was awesome. Here is Pace and a total of 12 girls! 5 girl cousins, 2 sisters, 3 aunts, 1 grandma and 1 mom! He's one lucky guy!

This is what I call a perfect day. My dad made trout for breakfast... that is a win in my book every time!

Nothing can beat a hammock and a book.

The cabin all re-done was amazing! I can't even believe the difference. Mom has made it all cute of course! 20 is my dad's registered brand in case anyone is wondering.

Here's Taylora and Grandma taking a spin on the 4-wheeler. See that apron my mom has on? I made it in home ec when I was in high school!

Loves on the swing

This was pretty much the best reading day ever!

They went out and shot the .22 at Quichapa.

Run for cover!

Here is professor PayPay teaching .22 shooting 101

Such wonderful form we have demonstrated here.

Today we set off for Kanarra Mountain. We had a few days off school so we decided we would go to the cabin with grandma and grandpa. P.S. Today my grandma Amanda would be 101 years old. I still miss her and think about her all the time.

Most of the leaves were gone but it was still so pretty! I LOVE IT UP HERE.

A lot of times I go on my camera and I find hundreds of pictures that my kids take of each other. Here are 2 of Pace and Bailey. I spared you the other 398 pictures they took of each other. You're welcome.

Yet another picture I found on my camera that I didn't take! I'm glad someone is doing my job while I relax in the cabin.

Congratulations weed!! You are graduating number one in the Thomson's backyard display of weeds. You have successfully grown taller and better than any weed we've ever had. You are an over achiever and make all the other weeds look like unmotivated losers.

We got a special treat from space tonight. Tonight was a total eclipse of the moon and it happened to land on a night with the closest supermoon of 2015. Isn't it beautiful? My children have seen the "supermoon" many a time but just not from in space. I think they were pretty relieved that when I showed them the supermoon this time it was actually in the sky.

Just look at this beautiful sky here in Vegas! Kathryn took this picture and I stole it because I can never good a good sky picture.

Best day ever today! We actually went up and hiked at Mt. Charleston. Yes, I've never taken the kids up to our local mountain. Fail. However, we went today and had a blast! We went on the Mary Jane Trails hike. It was 2 miles uphill... difficult but very rewarding!

This was the Tomonsons last possible chance of doing something before this freakishly short summer ends. Good times!

Next stop... girls camp... country club style! We cruised up to very top of the mountain to do all sorts of fun activities. There was this cool tepee there. I don't know why or what it was used for but it was super cool. All our kids stood outside it and sang "Book of Mormon Stories"... with the actions of course!

The guy in charge wasn't too smart since he gave us all hatchets. We all didn't do too bad hitting our target. Taylor got the highest score in our family and tied Jessen for the lead!

Bailey saw a squirrel and threw her hatchet at it! I'm pretty sure she got fur.

Poor Karrie and Cyle. I won't be too surprised if they get a letter in the next few weeks revoking their country club membership. Oh well, it was worth it!

Here is Taylor and her excellent marksmanship. She was nervous to throw then but then did better than all of us!

It's a good thing Karrie Sue was in a good mood today. Otherwise Cyle would have been missing his ears.

Next we got to shoot the bow and arrows. The weather was in the 70's. Total perfection.

Jacki and Cinco lining it up!

Let's just face the facts. I resemble Robin Hood the very most (with my perfect form). I have included my target in case anyone has any doubts!

Jade is so lucky to have two (K)(C)arries in his life!

Here is Jade at one with nature... I mean at one with his phone.

We got to sit up on this deck while a 5 star chef whipped us up some lunch. Tough life we lead in Park City.

Here's the whole crew! I'm pretty sure they had a huge celebration when we left. This is a wild bunch of children!
