day one hundred forty eight

We're in Cedar this weekend for WORCS race #8. It's Pace's very first race!!! It is just practice day today. They are getting a feel for the track and getting the bikes tuned up. Pace is wiping away a tear of joy here because he is so happy that he cut his hair and his helmet now fits!

Someone is always happy to be racing! You'll notice it is the only time he actually smiles for the camera without a threat from me.

Team Mom

Here is Pace's day plater complete with mud splatters and all.

The day wouldn't be complete without Bailey taking my camera and her and Jacki hiking out to take hundreds of pictures of themselves.

Bailey learned in her photography class how to adjust the aperture and other such settings that I have no clue about. Check out the cool lighting though!

Featuring Jack-a-Lack

I LOVE this picture of the sky and clouds!!! LOVE.

I dig this Tumblr picture as well...

Here's Pace, Jordan and Jeff contemplating motorcycle life issues

AND Taylor who is so excited she can't even stay awake!

We're back to Grandma and Grandpa's house to evaluate the tear offs for the 875 pairs of goggles that they own between the two of them. Swapping out lens' and other goggle related science is happening in this picture. Trust me when I say that it IS a science.

day one hundred thirteen

Today we had to move the sheep to the pasture because we're getting too many in the corrals. Hicks, Michael and Dan would fish out lambs from the shoot and I would tic and brand. We had a speedy system going on.

They are so cute all lined up ready to go. They are nice and somewhat polite in the loading shoot... their moms, not so much.

day seventy four

The dreaded goodbye day has arrived. We went to the airport one and all to see Grandma and Grandpa off.

Here are all the grandkids minus Derek, Pace and Bailey

Just to clarify this picture... My mom, Laurie and I are on the Varsity team while John, Mike and Matt are on the JV team.

Michael and Dad

It's all smiles now... just wait till security sees what my mom has in her carry on!

Lots of hugs, lots of tears, lots of me having melt downs and they're off! Goodbye Grandma and Grandpa! See you in 18 months! WE LOVE YOU!

day seventy three

Sunday dinner with all the cousins and family. This will be the last time we all meet together for the next 18 months. Even as I type this I am hyperventilating! Jade, Pace and Bailey had to stay in Vegas on account of stupid school. Being the only part of the Pace family who lives outside of Cedar is a drag.

Uncle Buck and Sahara

Dad cutting up the mutton. My dad can cook mutton like no other. It's depressing when I make it and my kids inform me that "it doesn't taste like Grandpas". It's kind of true though... it doesn't.

Laurie has been over all week helping Mom pack. They have lists upon lists upon lists. I cannot even imagine packing for a year and a half. I would have a melt down.

They packed an entire carry-on with meds and supplements. It weighed in at 26 lbs!!! I died laughing when I saw this. The DEA at the airport is going to have a field day with this! Hopefully they don't have drug sniffing dogs at customs in Africa.

No words can describe the cuteness of this picture of Grandma and Max.

Ole Pete stirring up the macaroni and tomatoes

And now for the icing on the cake of a perfect day... the setting apart of Elder and Sister Pace. President Rollins set them apart. In the circle were the rest of my family. To see my dad get set apart by my brothers and then my mom get set apart by both my brothers and my dad was pretty unreal. The spirit was so strong in that room, I felt so blessed to even be a part of it. I don't know of a time when I have been more proud to be their daughter than tonight.

day sixty seven

TA-DA!!! Ready for pre-festival choir at Coronado High School tonight.

Best FHE ever listening to the DWMS advanced choir sing. They sounded so amazing! They sang a lullaby and I legit almost fell asleep.

day fifty eight

WORCS race #3!! The race was in town at the South Point which makes it pretty convenient since we live 1 mile away. The track, however, was really small and tight. Jerry broke 7 ribs on this course right before Jade raced. Needless to say I was a little worried.

Here is Jade's 40-C line. Right after the start, of course, is a tight turn. It is like a cluster at the very beginning. See Jade? He's 2nd over from the right. I did notice that he was the very cutest rider there.

There he is right before the starting gun goes off. That rider right next to him (in the blue) seems to be giving me a dirty look. I can't see through his goggles but I'm feeling it. Perhaps he was admiring how cute my hair was. Ya, that is probably it.

Here is the sand pit section. This is the most difficult part. People everywhere were wrecking in here.

K.Sue was in town with Cyle to escape the Park City freeze for a week. She stopped by to see Jade race. We were such good cheerleaders!

Here is the whole cheer section! Bailey was in Reno cheering for state basketball. It seems like we are always one person short as these races.

I thought this was funny. Since South Point hosts any and all horse related events they have really nice stalls on their grounds. They rented them out for the motorcycles to be in during the race. I don't know why but I found it amusing to walk down and look in the stalls to see motorcycles. At least you don't have to give them any hay.

Look who we ran into! I took like a hundred pictures of these two trying to get one of Max with his eyes open. This is as close as I got!

Outside the photo booth is where I found these two ding dongs

Here is a whole gaggle of Thomsons. Pace, Jeff, Jade, Jordan and Jason. They are a bunch of cup checking freaks of nature. You can just tell by the looks on their faces.
