day fifty

Happy Birthday Martha! Her birthday is actually Sunday, but because Sunday is too busy, we are celebrating it today with her. Bailey is at cheer practice so Rachel is representing her today.

Martha informed me that they sprayed these flowers the vivid colors that they are. I thought they grew that way. As usual, I am green thumb challenged.

 HAPPY 16TH BIRTHDAY PACE!!!!!
They started off the morning going riding with Jeff and Broc Thomson and the Parkes. They had a ton of fun and came back properly tired and dusty.

Right as Pace was loaded and heading out the UPS truck pulled up and delivered Pace a package. He ordered new Oakley goggles for his birthday present and they showed up 30 seconds before he left!! It was like a Christmas miracle in November! Although it is difficult to see he is sporting the birthday goggles in the picture below.

Jacki got up and made these cutest birthday decorations for Pace while he was out riding. These kinds of things make my heart happy.

Complete with a banner!

Pace and Broc. The only boy cousins in two families with 6 girls. It's good they have each other!

The food spread...

3 cute little party guests!

Serene Ward Swag

Bailey and Denzyl were the D.J.'s for the evening. They played a mixture of Elvis, Sinatra and some lame rap music.

Since he wanted cinnamon rolls for his birthday cake I had to put 16 candles in one cinnamon roll. It was like a tiny bonfire!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY PACE... WE LOVE YOU!!!!!

This random group of hooligans (plus Jade) went to The Orleans for the AMA Pro Flat Track Finals. Kevin scored Pace a suite for his birthday which is tomorrow. It was the pre-birthday, birthday party.

Here is the view from said suite...

Toni finally turned 40! I performed a special rendition of Kenny Rogers "The Gambler" for her while she got a pedicure. Nothing makes me happier than making up a rude song and singing it in public to humiliate one of my friends!

Soup and salad after the pedicures with our new cute toes!

These three have come to so many of Pace's games. What a fabulous supportive family we have! Of course Grandpa Jeff yells insults at the refs the entire game and I'm pretty sure he's going to get us in a fight someday. Hopefully I'll be out of my leg brace when that day comes.

Much like my children it is impossible for Jade to be normal in a picture...

There's my boy! #56 down in his perfect stance!

Heading out onto the field...

After the games they gather up and do the Haka. It really is the coolest thing to watch. I've never seen another school do it. I guess it's a Liberty thing.

This is Sam. She is Pace's friend from Del Webb Middle School. They've been friends since 6th grade. She goes to Coronado but came to watch my PayPay play. I can't stand how cute his face it!

Sister wife birthday lunch! Every year now for the past several years we go out to lunch if one of us has a birthday. We are actually celebrating my birthday today. Yes, it was back in June. We were a little busy during the summer. Also, why is it that waitresses, when handed a camera, can't focus the picture??

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TAYLOR!!!!! If you're wondering why she isn't looking too excited in this picture it is because she's about to get her ears pierced! The family rule is once you turn 12 you can pierce your ears and officially become a heathen.

We seriously moved the mark on her ear like 12 times till we decided it was perfect. We can't be too careful now can we about a hole that will be in her ear for the rest of her life?

And just like that she's a heathen! But what a cute little heathen she is!

Pace is looking pretty tough throwing his gangsta signs whilst sporting a gold choker.

As soon as we pulled in the driveway we noticed that Taylor had been heart attacked from the Young Womens group. How cute is this??!! She's 12 now and can come to YW with me!!! YAY! DOUBLE YAY!!!!!

Here is the official family pose of Taylor's new ears.

Martha brought Taylor an ice cream oreo cake for her birthday. Martha is the nicest person on the planet and never forgets a birthday or special occasion. She has been a very special person in our family's life over the last 10 years. Thank you Martha for always being there for us!

Now we are off to Jacki's very first Desert Divas soccer game! This is so exciting. However, now we have to start in with Jade coaching them to "take the other players out" every Saturday. It's a Thomson thing.

Jacki wasted no time getting back into the swing of things and playing like a boss!

 It was soooooooooooooooooooo hot today....

Here is another reason why today is extremely special... Leona got baptized today!! It was so amazing to see her get baptized and the spirit was so strong. We literally had 12 minutes to get ready in between the soccer game and the baptism but it was definitely worth the rush!

We are one lucky family to have met Leona. Having her in our home for her discussions has been nothing short of amazing to witness.

This is the "I have no legs" pose. She's actually doing a pretty good job with it!

As soon as the baptism was over we hustled home to eat Taylor's birthday dinner. It consisted of her favorite standard dishes: creamy chicken and rice, watermelon, and oatmeal cake.

Sadly I still don't have any candles. At least I had the forethought this time to call MaryAnn and ask her to bring some. Notice twelve whole candles on the cake and no matches!!! Score!

No surprise we still experienced a candle fail. I put them in the cake when it was too hot and they all melted. Notice that they are all starting to tip over....

Here's a quick family picture before Grandma and Grandpa take Pace and Bailey to the stake dance. Holy cow this day had been CRAZY!!! Happy Birthday again Taylor, our team would not be complete without you. We LOVE you!!
P.S. Happy Anniversary Grandpa and Grandma Pace!! They have been married 48 years today (I think).

Taylor and her cute friends decided they wanted to roam around Towns Square for Taylor's birthday. They had so much fun and were just tooooooo cute!

They decided to spell out LOVE on the bridge. They are clearly a human alphabet!

We got a wheelchair since I am the slowest person on the planet and it would have taken me 5 years to walk around Towns Square. Here is Jade taking a little break while I shop, playing on his phone with his new bling glasses. He was so cute with Taylor and her friends that I forgave him for popping wheelies while I was in the wheelchair while launching me off curbs.

Nothing like a little FroYo to make a girl happy!

Taylor and Faith

How cute is this owl shirt?? Pretty dang cute.

Taylor and Natalie (otherwise known as Nataluh)

Cute, Cute, Cute little group of friends. Taylor had a blast and the night was a total success. They shopped, ate, watched a movie, snacked, and just had a great time!
