three hundred sixty four

We loaded up and went to Cedar for the rest of the week. When we got there is was 18 degrees and 10:00 at night. What is the sensible thing to do? Of course go out and play in the snow!

No one was cold or tired. Oh well. As long as I can stay inside where it's nice and warm!

Jacki took this super cool picture of Bailey blowing snow!

My mom and dad gave us our Christmas presents tonight. We got a picnic table and a hammock!!! This is so much fun! The kids can't wait to get them all set up!

Me and my mommy...

three hundred sixty two

Jacki got Pace a "Ride Red" decal. He loved it and wanted to put it on his car. I still cannot believe he has a car!! They decided the sticker application was a very important event and so they made a ceremony out of it. Pace put on his sticker while Jacki serenaded him with her ukulele.

Today I walked past the ledge upstairs and noticed all these barbies arranged so carefully. I asked
Jacki what they were doing and she informed me that they were taking a family picture. So of course I took a family picture with my camera too! Here is (going top to bottom) Sarah, Lydia, Payten, Violet, Paige, Mallory and McKenna Thomson.

three hundred sixty

364 more days till Christmas!

I got up first thing this morning and got the tree out. Since we went "city style" and bought our tree here in Vegas it didn't stay alive like our fresh Cedar City trees. It was so dead I thought it was going to start our house on fire. If I didn't think it would have scarred the kids for life I would have taken it down after the presents were opened yesterday. Pace and I carried it out very carefully and it sill left approximately 45 million needles all over the house.

three hundred fifty nine

MERRY CHRISTMAS! First things first... I have to set out the frozen cinnamon rolls before the kids come down. They are sitting on the stairs screaming at me to hurry. It is so fun to torture them!

Here is the living room right before the kids rush down. Santa has come, the stockings are full and in a minute it will be complete pandemonium.

More pictures to complete the torture....

Here is where they sit while Jade and I get up and turn on the lights downstairs, set out the cinnamon rolls, stretch, use the bathroom, get a drink, nap, etc. They sit up here so very impatiently and the more they yell at us the more "chores" we find to do. It's great fun for Jade and I. I have a picture of the kids on these stairs for the last 10 years. It's the best part of Christmas morning!

Santa brought Taylor a new comforter and pillows for her bed!

Here's Bailey checking out her new riding goggles.

I have no clue what she has just discovered but she's clearly quite happy about it!

Pace takes his time more than any of the kids. While the girls are screaming and causing a ruckus he slowly and systematically goes through his stocking. They are on to the Christmas tree presents by the time Pace is just finishing his stocking. I love how they all have their own ways.

Shoulder deep in the stocking

Bailey is feeling mighty cool in her new snapback! I agree, she is looking on point with that hat.

Awww... Bailey is so happy with the black rastaclat that Taylor just got her!

The long awaited american flag converse high tops have arrived! Taylor is a lover of shoes... more like she is obsessed with them! I mean who asks for shoes for Christmas?

A whole village of flies could fly in that mouth!

Sizing up the gift...

A new Oakley hoodie for the win!

Thanking Paps for the gifts

I like how Jacki is evaluating her barbie simultaneously while thanking Taylor for it.

Thank you Taylor for the nice gift!

Opening presents never gets old. Ever.

This is about 30 minutes into Christmas morning. I love the messy floor and the chaos of it all. We don't do anything too formal on Christmas morning. It's pretty much a free for all!

That is one happy little minion!

It's my turn to open my gift! I'm looking at the box but I don't dare hope that the contents match the box...

THEY MATCH!!! I'm so very happy right now! I just scored a 16-300mm lens for my camera! Jade gets me the perfect gift every year. I never even asked or hinted for such a treasure. I can't even believe how lucky I am!

See that cold sore on my lip? I have had a cold sore for a straight month and a half! #Toomanymovingprobs

Jacki did all her shopping this year and had it wrapped and ready long before Christmas came. She put a LOT of thought into her gifts this year.

New goggles (from himself), a new Nike shirt from Pace and super cool hot coco mug from Jacki!

I'm thinking of all the new lens possibilities!

They see me rollin....

Time for Christmas breakfast. This is another menu that is heavily debated throughout the year. We ended up with cinnamon rolls, sausage, bacon, eggs and egg nog. Guess what Jacki is eating? A left over heated up breakfast burrito from Robertos! She's not a big fan of breakfast foods.

Bailey and Jade eating while sporting their new gear!

Grandpa, Grandma and Justin make the rounds Christmas morning to all their kids' houses to see what everyone got. Jacki is showing him her new beloved ukulele.

Here's grandma sporting her brand spanking new apron!

Jade is pretty proud of his new goggles and gloves. He wore them around the house for hours. He got the new gloves to match the new goggles (a different pair) that he thought I bought for him!

Here is the gift I got the team... It's a vintage Trail 90. I had a guy in Cedar City restore it for me. I surprised Jade for only the 2nd time in 23 years!!!!! He ALWAYS finds out what I get him. I can't believe I pulled it off! It's a Christmas miracle! He thought I was getting him new Oakley goggles. He was SO sure of himself that he pre-purchased gloves to match! Ha Ha Sucka!!!

Checking out every detail of the new hog.

Pace took it for a spin and melted his brand new minion pajamas on the exhaust. Our brand new bike has a brand new minion tattoo on it!

Jade and his girlfriend going for a ride...

Riding in so much style...

These two riding down the street was amusing to say the least. Jade and Pace both in their pajamas, Jade with his house slippers on, Pace with his flip flops, goggles and snapback on. Pace has his minions pulled up nice and high so as to avoid another exhaust melt. All in all very entertaining for me.

I don't know who was happier with the new hog... my son or my husband!

Martha came over and gave the kids their presents. They all got new shoes and they were screaming with excitement! My kids and their shoe fascinations! Jacki got flowered high top Vans.

Taylor scored burgundy high top Converse.

And Bailey got black and white Sk8-Hi Vans

And you may wonder what Pacesito got from Martha...

Oh just a CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Martha got a new car and gave Pace her Kia Optima!! Look at Pace's face. I think he just caught a vision of the possible freedom that these 4 wheels could bring... you should see the look on my face right now thinking of the possible milk and eggs that he can now go fetch for me!!!

I think her new apron matches her outfit!

The kids wrote Martha letters in Spanish for Christmas this year. I think they were a hit!

What a wonderful Christmas it was this year! I tried to take a quick family picture. Jade, however, could not manage to be horizontal even for 2 minutes. Christmas morning is exhausting. I'll give him that. Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!
