LHS track meet day! Here is PayPay running the 100m. I la la love watching him run!

Look at Pace's face. He's about to start the 400m. This is his most hated race. It really is brutal. Good luck! I'll be sunbathing in the bleachers while you run your guts out. #suckstobeyou

day seventy five

My eyes are still swollen shut from yesterday but I pried them open so they could see Pace at his first track meet of the season. I love watching him run!

Here, my friends, is the fundamental difference between boys and girls when a picture needs to be taken.

What a beautiful stride he has coming off the final straight of the 400. That is one very brutal race!

Pace's last track meet is today and I'm sad. I've loved watching him run this year. Hopefully I'll be attending more track meets next year. I really love his jumping pictures... I can't get enough of them!

I would like to say that my children are saluting me but really it's just that the sun is in their eyes. I love living so close to the school. Pace texts us when he gets his "first call" for his race and we ride up to the school on our bikes and watch him run. It's totes awesome.

Track meet day again! I just love these jumping pictures. Pace is a serious jumper and his skills have come in handy when it comes time to warm up for a race! Here he is getting ready to get in the blocks for the 200 m.

Why is everyone gathered around the counter you ask??  Mandy came over later after the track meet to come with me to pick up VickiJo from the airport. She decided (based on yesterdays teeth cleaning) to have an impromptu waterpic 101 class. Hopefully they'll retain some of this information so their teeth won't be so foul!!

I have Iron Chef tonight at my house for YW. I needed a box of peeps for the activity. One box. I asked Jade to pick up ONE box on his way home and he brings me THIS. All of my family in Cedar call Jade Overkill. The picture below is "exhibit A" of why such a nickname came about. 

Pace had another track meet today. This time it was actually at Liberty (saving us 2 hours of drive time). Yay! Ok, check out this jump... I can't help but think Grandma Amanda would get a kick out of this picture. She used to let him jump on her lap when he was a baby... for hours!

This was the 100 m open. I've been waiting all year to see this race! By the time we can get to the track meet the 100 is usually over. Love love love watching him run.

Today I finally got to see my boy run!! Here he is at the starting line for the 400 m. He's feeling a bit nervous right now but still very cute!
