It's Christmas Eve!!!!! I almost love Christmas Eve more than Christmas Day. It's just so magical and everyone is so excited. On this day Tim always shows up on the top of the Christmas tree.
I think he likes to oversee all the events. Also, he's ready for when Santa shows so he can hitch a ride back to the North Pole.
We have a tradition that we have an elaborate Christmas Eve candle light dinner. We have family votes throughout the year regarding the menu of this important event. Sometimes we have "try outs" for certain foods to see if they can make the cut.
I'm pretty sure they wish I would stop taking pictures so we could eat already!!
I picked up these dishes at a garage sale when Jade and I were first married. I LOVE THEM. We use them every year. Trust me when I tell you the food tastes better when eaten off such fancy Christmas plates.

They always get to open one present on Christmas Eve, which by sheer coincidence just happens to be new pajamas. They are trying to crack the code on which present they are allowed to open.
And they have finally found the Christmas Eve present!

Let me tell you what is happening in this picture... Pace just tooted his hiney horn, Bailey is dry heaving and Taylor and Jacki are still in a stench free zone oblivious to what is headed their way.
This is the first year they ALL matched. Usually the girls match and Pace has his own P.J.'s This year I wanted them all to match so I just shopped in the men's department. We just had to bust out the scissors and cut 2 feet off Jacki's pants. The girls were all fascinated by the open fly in the front of their pants. I forgot to sew it shut. Oops.
Time for bed... a letter to Tim is left on the table....
Carrots are left for the reindeer....
And the traditional sleepover in Pace's room commences.
