two hundred fifty one

Today I met with Mrs. Sanders. As I was making my way down the hall I saw the Bass Elementary Hall Rules. Clearly I would be able to be a student here. I am excelling at #4. REALLY excelling.

two hundred forty five

I was itching to get out of the house so my mom and I headed to Wal-Mart. Since I can't be schlepping around the store with my bad knee I decided to get a motorized cart. Jade caught wind of my plans and double dog dared me to wear my muumuu to complete the "Wal-Mart experience". Today was the best day of my life (ok, maybe not the best but it was pretty close)! My mom and I had so much fun! I don't remember the last time I laughed that hard.

two hundred forty four

No words can describe how happy I am that my mom is here. The kids are pretty happy about it too but trust me... I am the happiest!

Want to know what makes my knee not hurt as much? Cookies from the Toomanys. They literally made my knee pain disappear!

Thank the heavens above!!! My mom has come to save the day! She got right to work putting on her muumuu, baking, cleaning and taking care of me.

Yesterday I got a little bit too happy about how easy my surgery was going so I got up and did WAY too much on my knee. Needless to say, today I'm paying for this idiotic move. I'm so mad and frustrated with myself. I'm not gonna lie, if I could find these on Amazon, I'd order a case right now.

two hundred thirty nine

Well... three months to the day, after my last surgery, I'm having another one! Today I headed in to repair a torn meniscus with a microfracture procedure. #goodtimes #not

Surgery has its perks and here is one of them... Jacki gets to have help with her homework from Grandma Thomson who was nice enough to come over and babysit me today.

one hundred fifty

Laurie and Mom came home from their big trip last night so I got to play with them this morning. This picture is blurry but I HAD to put it in for the obvious reason that we are all wearing our muumuus!! We look better than any muumuu wearing moms have a right to look. FoSho.

Three muumuu workers in the kitchen equals a better breakfast for all!

Here I am chilling with Nan and Flat Nancy. I'm about sick and tired of this position on the couch FYI.

The only thing that makes hanging out on the couch (for endless hours) better, is when Taylor or one of my team joins me! They've all taken such great care of me.

The MOST important news of the day.... We've been waiting for TWO months now to see if Taylor made concert choir and today we found out SHE MADE IT!!!! We are all SO EXCITED for her! Good job Taylor, I never doubted that beautiful voice of yours! We went to FroYo with the Too-many family to celebrate Cade and Taylor making it but I didn't get any pictures. I'm blaming it on my headache. Anyways I'm SOOOOOO proud of her!

I just need to show you the love I came home to... I LOVE crafty stuff and notes!

Here's a letter from Taylor. I LOVE letters from my team! I save everyone of them.

Here is a doll that Jacki made me. Grandma Thomson said she seriosuly sewed it for over 2 hours! I love it! She actually named it (with no prompting from me) Flat Nancy. I can't stand how cute she is!

Jacki also made me a purse... complete with $5.00 to spend!

Here are my fabulous post-op accommodations at Jolene's house. She took such good care of me! Check this out... I had a towel animal complete with mints on my bed when I arrived! Score!

Here is today's progress... love that arrow on my forehead!

Here are two of my nurses (Jolene and Fallon). Kylie was at school during our photo shoot and Jade is taking the picture. I'm sporting my meds and best friend the puke bowl, which was my constant companion for a few days. I seriously had the best care EVER.

Here I am in the pre-op getting the usual purple marker all over my face. It was like a flash from the past having Dr. Peterson mark up my face before going in to the O.R. This will be the 24th surgery to my face relating to scar revision from my car accident years ago. See those eyebrows? They aren't symmetrical. He will also graft fat into the right side of my face and on my scars. Oh and goodbye Flat Stanley!

Aaaaand... not so happy after the surgery was complete. To say that my head hurt would be the understatement of the year. I have a sweet black eye though. I do love black eyes. If only my headache didn't hurt so bad....

Here is my team... all assembled on the bed at Kathryn's house. They called to check on me. They stayed over at the Too-many house. Kathryn saved the day... taking them to YW, YM, Activity Days, Seminary and School. Life without good friends would be ever so painful! I love my team and I love my friends!
